25×25: Prepare 50 New Recipes

Yesterday, I completed my 50th new recipe, crossing a goal off my 25×25. It took a little more than half the time I expected to bake, broil, saute, and slow cook my way through 50 pinterest finds. You can check out all of the recipes on the “In the Kitchen” page and view comments on my “Recipes: Complete” board.

Many of the recipes I’ve tried have been delicious, though some fell short. Many have become new standbys that I equally enjoy serving at dinner parties and for quick weeknight meals. I thought I’d break down my long list of new recipes into categories. If you are looking for a new dinner idea, think about trying one of these (just not the biggest flops: Creamy Garlic Pasta and Plum Meatballs).

Quick and Easy: Beef with Snow Peas

Simple Sides: Cheesy Quinoa Cakes and roasted sweet potatoes with olive oil, garlic, walnuts, and rosemary

The Classics: Julia Child’s Roast Chicken and Swedish Meatballs

Most ambitious: Prosciutto-Wrapped Chicken Stuffed with Dried Cherries or Homemade Falafel

New Stand-bys: Spicy Stewed Beef with Cheddar Cheese Grits and Homemade Chicken Enchiladas
